Chongqing Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Group”) is the only pharmaceutical enterprise affiliated to Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and the holding subsidiary of Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Company. The Group was the former Southwest Branch Company of China Pharmaceutical Company founded in 1950 and it was restructured as a joint-stock company. In March 2012, by integrating resources, the Group realized integrated layout of science, industry and trade. Up to now, the Group possesses over 30 branches and subsidiaries covering Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Hebei, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, etc. and nearly 11,000 employees (including 3,046 professional technicians).

The Group business covers drug research and development, production, direct sale, distribution, retail, community terminal, pharmaceutical logistics distribution, medical service, etc. The Group possesses the import and export business licence, and is the designated storage unit of medicine and medical devices of the Central Government and Chongqing Government. The Group has set up 24h emergency medicine telephone of Chongqing. The Group is one of the three nationwide wholesale enterprises engaging in special medicines in China and the member unit of International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers. The Group keeps close business relationship with over 20,000 upstream and downstream customers and has over 70,000 business products which are sold to over 30 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions in China as well as countries and regions like India, Switzerland, Korea, USA, Japan, Europe, etc.

The Group has the modern pharmaceutical logistics center which is first class in China and leading in western China. The Group has set up over 40 allocation and distribution centers with storage area covering over 200,000 square meters. On the basis of ISO9001:2008 quality management system established, the Company promotes the comprehensive management system integrating quality/environment/occupational health/safety management, etc. Meanwhile, the Group has made great investment in developing management systems like business, logistics, supply chain, finance, human resource, office automation, etc. so as to support the sustainable development of the Group.
